The big job-management platforms are good products, and we'll say so plainly below. They're also built for other markets: dollar pricing, SMS-first messaging, payments that don't operate here. JobFlow is built in Ireland for Irish trades. Here's the honest version of how they stack up.
Excellent native apps, 100+ integrations and a real marketing suite, in North America. For Irish businesses there's no euro pricing, Jobber Payments isn't available, and customer texting only works on US, UK and Canadian numbers.
Genuinely simple to learn, with real traction among Irish and UK sole traders and broader accounting connections than ours. But it bills per user in dollars ($47 to $61 USD each per month), the app needs a live connection so there is no offline working, and there's no partner portal for the companies that feed you work.
Australian, keenly priced (from $29 USD a month with unlimited users) and packed with AI features. But the full app is iPhone-only (Android users get a cut-down field app), there's no phone support at all, its AI phone agent doesn't operate in Ireland, and there's nothing Irish about it: no Eircode support, no Irish VAT treatment, no WhatsApp.
Credit where due: Unlimited staff on every paid plan, a genuine free tier, polished iOS apps and the broadest AI feature set of the three.
Three more, all of them serious products, and two of them won't tell you the price until you book a call.
Twenty years of depth in service contracts, asset registers and planned maintenance, plus direct debit collection through GoCardless that we don't match. Quote-only pricing, and standard plans built on a 12-month contract.
Built for mid-market commercial contractors, with job costing, stock, procurement and estimating depth that JobFlow genuinely does not have. Also quote-only, and a real implementation project rather than a signup.
The biggest US home-services ecosystem, with job costing from its cheapest plan, which we don't offer at all. Priced in dollars from $59 for a single user, with route optimisation held back to the top tier and no Irish specifics advertised.
A mature New Zealand platform, well liked for its visual scheduling, with deep reporting on its upper tier. Priced per user with certificates, texts and contractor access sold as add-ons, and localised for its own markets rather than this one.
Strong UK compliance and certificate work, planned maintenance, and native two-way Xero, Sage and QuickBooks sync where we ship exports. Priced per user in sterling from £45, with tiers and paid add-ons on top.
A deliberate difference: JobFlow skips the app stores. Your team installs it on any phone straight from the browser, it sits on the home screen like any other app, and it updates itself, so everyone is always on the latest version with nothing to manage. And the honest trade-off: JobFlow exports accountant-ready files for Xero and Sage rather than a live sync. If a live accounting sync matters more to you than the list above, one of the others may fit better. We'd rather you pick right than pick us.
