Disclosure first: we build JobFlow, so read this knowing where we stand. And credit where it's due before anything else: Tradify has real traction with Irish and UK sole traders, it's genuinely simple to learn, and its accounting connections are broader than ours. If you're a one-person band who wants the least software possible, it's a fair choice, and this page will tell you exactly when it stops being one.

* RTD = the Return of Trading Details, the annual VAT breakdown every VAT-registered business in Ireland has to file. Tradify prices from their pricing page, August 2026 ($47 to $61 per user per month by tier); check their page for current figures.
Three things. First, simplicity: Tradify's whole design goal is getting a sole trader off the notebook with the smallest possible learning curve, and it achieves it. Second, presence: it has real UK and Irish users and strong review scores, so you won't be the first person in the county using it. Third, accounting sync: live two-way connections to Xero and QuickBooks (and a one-way push to Sage), where JobFlow works through accountant-ready Xero and Sage export files rather than a live sync. If a real-time Xero connection is your one non-negotiable, Tradify wins that line today.
No offline. Tradify needs a connection, a documented limitation, and if your work takes you to rural sites, attics or basements, that's a daily annoyance. JobFlow's field app works fully offline and syncs photos, notes and job updates when coverage returns.
Per-user pricing grows with every hire. At $47 to $61 per user per month in dollars, a five-person team runs $235 to $305 a month before the exchange rate has its say. JobFlow is €59 plus VAT for the plan with two users in, then €10 per extra user: €89 a month for that same five-person team, in euro, with everything included.
Thin on the office side. Reporting is limited, there's no partner portal for the property managers and companies that feed you work, and its reverse-VAT logic was built for the UK's CIS scheme (the UK construction tax system), not Irish rules. JobFlow gives you configurable dashboards, batch invoicing for commercial clients, a portal partners log into themselves, and Irish VAT end to end: the five rates with correct invoice treatment, a cash-receipts or invoice basis setting, and the RTD export plus one-click Accountant Pack at year end.
WhatsApp, natively. Booking confirmations and reminders arrive as real WhatsApp messages with tap-to-confirm buttons, on-my-way messages carry a live GPS arrival time, and the chat history sits on the job. Tradify communicates by email and SMS.
Routes with reality built in. One tap optimises the day's stop order, then you drag reality back in: the key pickup, the merchants run. Waypoints attach to the jobs they belong to, and a live board shows each day as planned beside how it actually ran, for today or any past day. We couldn't find that anywhere else; the closest is spreadsheet-style reporting in enterprise platforms like ServiceTitan.
Recurring work that runs itself. Rounds generate on whatever cycle you set, skip Irish bank holidays automatically, and multi-site commercial clients get one batch invoice at month end. Seasonal Care Plans bill only the months you work, with renewal reminders that state the price up front.
Pick Tradify if you're a sole trader, you want the simplest possible tool, live Xero sync matters more than anything Irish-specific, and you rarely work anywhere without signal.
Pick JobFlow if you're hiring or already a team, your work includes commercial clients or recurring rounds, you want Irish VAT and the RTD handled without workarounds, and you'd rather one flat euro price than a per-user meter.
Yes, that's us: JobFlow is Irish-built job management software at €59 a month for one plan with everything included. We build it, so weigh that as you read, and see our full roundup for every option.
No, the app needs a connection, which is a documented limitation. JobFlow's field app works fully offline and syncs when coverage returns.
For one person, roughly comparable once currencies convert. The gap opens with headcount: Tradify charges the full per-user price for every person, while JobFlow includes two users at €59 and adds people at €10 each.
Export your customers from Tradify and import them into JobFlow as CSV or Excel; the import validates first and can be rolled back. Setup and onboarding are included, so you're not doing it alone.
Tradify is a good answer to a small question: one person, simple jobs, Xero at the centre, decent signal. The bigger your question gets, more people, mixed work, commercial clients, Irish paperwork, dead zones, the more you're paying per head for a tool that stops at the edges. JobFlow was built past those edges.
