Disclosure first: we build JobFlow, so read this knowing where we stand. And let's be clear about Simpro up front: for large commercial contractors running multi-phase projects with stock and procurement, it does things JobFlow simply doesn't do. This page isn't an argument that we're better than Simpro. It's an argument about which of you two the software is for.

* RTD = the Return of Trading Details, the annual VAT breakdown every VAT-registered business in Ireland has to file. Simpro does not publish pricing; third-party estimates vary so widely that we won't repeat a figure here. Where we write "not found in their public documentation", that means exactly what it says: we could not find it, not that it does not exist.
Job costing and project work. Detailed estimating, labour rates, cost tracking against multi-phase jobs, and the reporting to see margin by project. JobFlow does not do job costing. If knowing the exact margin on a six-week commercial fit-out is why you're buying software, Simpro is the honest answer and we're not.
Stock, inventory and procurement. Materials tracking, purchase orders, supplier catalogues. JobFlow has none of this. Our extras capture handles work discovered on site; it does not manage a stores system.
Estimating depth. Detailed estimates built around labour rates, materials, supplier catalogues, pre-builds and take-offs. If estimating is effectively a department in your business, that's a serious Simpro advantage and nothing in JobFlow approaches it.
Operational depth as you grow. Sophisticated scheduling, costing, inventory, procurement and reporting, supporting a very large global user base. We're built for a different shape of business.
You can't find out what it costs. No public pricing; you book a call. Third-party estimates of Simpro's price vary so wildly across review sites that they tell you nothing useful, which is itself the point: the only way to know is to enter a sales process.
It's a big system, and big systems take time. Implementation, data migration, configuration and training are real projects. That investment pays back for a large contractor. For a five-person Irish outfit that wants to be quoting on Tuesday, it's a lot of machinery.
Ireland is a configuration, not a design. Simpro is a configurable international platform: their own help documentation has Irish addresses entered manually with the Eircode typed in. JobFlow built its VAT and accounting workflow around Irish requirements from the start: the five Irish rates with correct treatment per line, a cash-receipts or invoice-basis setting, Eircode lookup on every address field, and the RTD export, which we could not find documented in Simpro's public material.
