JobFlow vs Jobber (2026): An Honest Comparison for Irish Businesses

Updated July 2026 · 6 min read

First, the disclosure: we build JobFlow, so read this knowing where we stand. Second, the honest headline: Jobber is a genuinely good product. It has more reviews than every other tool in this category, a polished quoting and scheduling flow, and an ecosystem of integrations JobFlow can't match. If it were priced in euro, worked with Irish payments and understood Irish VAT, this page would be much harder to write.

It isn't, it doesn't, and that's the comparison.

* RTD = the Return of Trading Details, the annual VAT breakdown every VAT-registered business in Ireland has to file. Jobber prices are from their own pricing page, July 2026, and change often (Core rose from $39 to $49 within three months); check their page.

Where Jobber genuinely wins

Credit where it's due, because you should hear it from us rather than discover it later. Jobber has well over a thousand reviews on the big platforms and more than a decade of polish behind its quoting, scheduling and client-communication flow. Client Hub, where customers view quotes, invoices and appointments in one place, is well executed. The integration marketplace is broad, the online booking experience is slick, and for a large residential team running high volumes of jobs it removes a lot of admin. If you're a bigger operation that wants the most mature product in the category and the Irish gaps below don't bother you, Jobber is a reasonable choice, and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise.

Where the dollars start adding up

Jobber's pricing is a “from” price in the fullest sense. Core starts at $49 USD a month for one user. Extra users are $29 each. Team plans run from $139 to $699 a month depending on tier. Then the add-ons: the Marketing Suite is $79 a month, and the AI Receptionist is a further paid extra. Growing teams report bills past $500 a month, in dollars, with your actual cost moving with the exchange rate.

JobFlow is one plan at €59 a month plus VAT, with two users included, then €10 per extra user. There are no add-ons to buy, no tiers to outgrow, and setup is included. A five-person Irish team pays €89 a month, all in, and knows that's the bill next month too.

The payments problem

As of July 2026, Jobber's built-in payment processing is only supported in the US, Canada and the UK. An Irish business can run its schedule in Jobber, but the getting-paid part, which is rather the point, needs a workaround. JobFlow connects to your own Stripe account: payment links, card payments at the door, and ordinary bank transfer with the details on the invoice. JobFlow adds no margin on payments; you pay Stripe's standard Irish rates, currently from 1.5% plus €0.25 for standard European consumer cards.

The Irish accounting gap

Jobber lets you set up tax rates, but Irish VAT needs manual workarounds, and there's nothing in the product built for how Irish businesses actually report. JobFlow handles the five Irish VAT rates with correct invoice treatment, lets you report on a cash-receipts or invoice basis (your accountant will know which you're on), and produces the Return of Trading Details export plus a one-click Accountant Pack in Xero-ready or Sage-ready formats with Irish VAT mappings built in. Come December, that's the difference between forwarding a ZIP file and a week of spreadsheet archaeology.

Three things JobFlow does that Jobber doesn't

WhatsApp, natively. Jobber's WhatsApp story is a Zapier connector. JobFlow sends booking confirmations, reminders and on-my-way messages as real WhatsApp messages with tap-to-confirm buttons, with email as the fallback, and keeps the chat history on the job. Jobber's own on-my-way texts are good; ours arrive where Irish customers actually reply.

Routes with reality built in. One tap optimises the day's stop order, then you drag reality back in: the key pickup before stop three, the merchants after stop five. Waypoints attach to the jobs they belong to, and there's a live board showing each day as planned beside how it actually ran, for today or any past day. We couldn't find that anywhere else; the closest thing is spreadsheet-style reporting in enterprise platforms like ServiceTitan.

A portal for the businesses that feed you work. Property managers, facilities companies and consultancies get their own login to submit and track jobs, with batch month-end invoicing on your side, and partner users don't count toward your user limit. Jobber treats a commercial client as a customer with a VAT number.

Who should pick which

Pick Jobber if you're a larger team, mostly residential, that wants the most polished and most reviewed product in the category, and you're comfortable with dollar billing, add-on pricing and sorting payments yourself.

Pick JobFlow if you run an Irish service business and want one predictable euro price, payments that work here, VAT and the RTD handled natively, WhatsApp your customers actually answer, and a system built for the way work comes in here, from webform enquiries to B2B partners.

FAQ

Is there an Irish alternative to Jobber?

Yes, that's us: JobFlow is Irish-built job management software for trades and service businesses, priced in euro at €59 a month for one plan with everything included. (We build it, so weigh that as you read this page, and see our full roundup of every option for a wider view.)

Is JobFlow a good Jobber alternative in Ireland?

For an Irish trade business, yes, and the case is specific: JobFlow is Irish-built with one all-in price of €59 a month plus VAT including two users, and handles what Jobber doesn't advertise for Ireland: Irish VAT on every line, both VAT bases, the RTD export (the annual VAT breakdown every VAT-registered business in Ireland has to file) and Eircode-aware routing. Jobber remains the more mature product, with more than a decade of polish behind its quoting and scheduling, a broad integration marketplace and a slicker online booking experience, so run both trials on real jobs and judge against your own week.

Does Jobber Payments work in Ireland?

No. As of July 2026 Jobber's built-in payment processing is only supported in the US, Canada and the UK, so Irish businesses need a separate arrangement for taking payments.

How hard is it to switch from Jobber to JobFlow?

Export your clients from Jobber and import them into JobFlow as CSV or Excel; the import validates everything first and can be rolled back if you change your mind. Setup and onboarding are included in the plan, so you're not doing it alone.

Is Jobber more expensive than JobFlow?

For a solo user at Core, they're in the same ballpark once you convert currencies. The gap opens as you grow: every extra user is $29 against our €10, team tiers climb toward $699, and the add-ons are extra, while JobFlow stays one price with everything in.

The bottom line

Jobber earned its reputation, and for a big residential operation that lives comfortably in dollars it's a fine tool. But it wasn't built for here. If your business invoices in euro, reports VAT to Revenue, and gets paid by Irish customers, you'd be renting a very good product and working around its edges. JobFlow was built inside those edges.
